Wave Direct Announces Charity of the Year Partnership

Wave Direct has unveiled the Children’s Heart Unit Fund (CHUF) as its first official charity partner! The year-long partnership with Northeast based charity, CHUF, is part of our commitment to remain community-focused and give back to those who have watched us grow and continually supported us. 

CHUF is a local charity (based in the Freeman Hospital) that is close to our hearts, bridging gaps for families where statutory services simply can’t. As well as the Freeman Hospital, CHUF supports hospitals with cardiac clinics all across the region. We recognise and celebrate the important, life-saving work CHUF does for not just the Northeast, but for children and their families across the UK. Throughout the rest of 2021/22, we plan on taking part in many of the CHUF fundraising events, raising money to equip local hospitals and provide children with life-saving heart treatments.

 Family time and creating special memories are at the heart of what we do. CHUF is the ideal charity partner for us because they share lots of similar values. We are proud to join forces and can’t wait to raise funds and awareness in the workplace and our community. 

The commitment also encompasses our formal plan for boosting staff wellbeing. By providing opportunities for staff to get involved with exciting fundraising events, physical challenges and teambuilding activities, CHUF is helping us provide fun outlets for our team to get involved with throughout the year.
